Musical Theatre Schools Tour
Trinity Laban offers schools free live musical theatre productions for Key Stage 2 school students. Our tours are always highly popular, so early booking is recommended. Priority is given to schools in our local boroughs of Greenwich and Lewisham.
This year’s production is Charlie Brown!
Based on the classic children’s cartoon, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, this show is a fantastic introduction to life’s big questions, told through events in our day-to-day lives: baseball, homework, sing songs, swooning over crushes and celebrating the joy of friendships. Perfect for children aged 7-11, this is a show that your pupils are bound to engage with. There will be songs, dancing and acting – there’s no better way for your pupils to be introduced to the world of musical theatre.
Tour dates this year: Monday 24 November – Monday 1December (not including the weekend)
Application deadline: Monday 29 September, 9:00
Please note: As these opportunities are likely to be highly popular, we encourage you to apply quickly. We aim to confirm places as soon as possible, so that you can book spaces, make timetable arrangements and organise any travel.
FAQs
What do you need to host the production?
- A space for our van to park at your school to load and unload equipment. We will bring a Luton van with a 7.5 tonne capacity.
- A performance space 5m wide x 6m deep (not including the audience) that is on the ground floor.
- Ideally, a separate room available for the cast to change prior, during and after the performance.
How long is the performance?
The performance will be sixty minutes long.
We will require 90 minutes for set-up ahead of the performance.
If you are offered an afternoon performance, we will need prior access to the performance space to set-up and will need to work around your lunch schedule.
Performers and technicians were both professional and talented and delivered an excellent performance for our pupils. For them it was very useful for their drama skills, experience of performance, and understanding of story structure, which will have a positive impact on their reading and writing.
